Objectives
The objective of the PhD Program is to educate participants to the level of professional researcher capable of producing new knowledge in the field of management in academia, consulting or corporate environments. This is accomplished through the process of learning how to and then completing an original piece of research of sufficient quality to be publishable in academic journals.
The Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) is the highest academic degree and requires mastery within a field of knowledge and demonstrated ability to perform scholarly research. Other doctor's degrees are awarded for fulfilling specialized requirements in professional fields, such as education, business administration, and engineering. Many doctor's degrees in both academic and professional fields require an earned master's degree as a prerequisite.
